Adding participants
Add people to a workflow so Worknice can start running the configured steps for them.
Introduction
Participants are the people who are added to a workflow in Draft status. Once added, Worknice creates a workflow run for each participant that begins triggering based on the configuration of triggers in workflow groups.
Before You Get Started
You must be an Account Owner or have the appropriate admin permissions to add participants to a workflow.
Make sure your workflow settings, groups, and steps are configured before adding participants.
Getting Started
Go to Workflows from the left-hand menu.
Open the workflow you want to add people to.
Click the Participants tab.
From here, you can see who has already been added to the workflow, when they were added, and their completion progress.
Add Participants
Click Add participants in the top-right corner.
Select the people you want to add to the workflow.
Confirm your selection.
Once added, each person will appear in the Participants list.
What Happens Next
When a person is added as a participant:
Worknice creates a workflow run for that person
Workflow groups trigger based on their configured timing
Paperwork and task steps are assigned automatically
Progress can be tracked from the Participants tab
The Completion column shows how many workflow steps have been completed for each participant.
Important Notes
Changes to workflow settings apply to new participants only. Existing active workflow runs will continue using the configuration that was in place when the participant was added.
To test a workflow, add one participant first and review the run before adding a larger group.
You're All Done!
You’ve now added participants to a workflow and Worknice will begin running the configured steps for each person.
