Create and track your own goals
Your goals page shows what you are working towards and lets you keep your progress up to date.
Before you get started
Goals is available to accounts with the Performance add-on.
Goals you create for yourself are not private. Account owners can see them, and so can your manager if they have been given access to your goals.
Find your goals
Go to Personal, then Goals. The list shows every goal you own, with its status, its period and how far along it is.
Select any goal to see its full detail, including the description and the history of progress updates.
Create a goal for yourself
You do not have to wait for a goal to be set for you.
Go to Personal, then Goals.
Select Add goal.
Enter a Name, and a Description if it needs one.
Set the Period start and Period end.
Select Add.
New goals start at Not started and 0%.
Update your progress
Open the goal.
Select Update progress.
Drag the Progress slider to where things actually are.
Choose a Status: Not started, On track, At risk, Completed or Cancelled.
Add a note if there is something worth explaining.
Select Save.
Every update is kept, so the goal builds a history rather than just showing a current number.
At risk is not a failure, and it is the most useful status in the list. Setting it early is how a problem gets talked about while there is still time to do something.
Archive a goal you no longer need
Open the goal, then choose Archive from the menu in the top right.
Archiving is permanent. The goal disappears from your list, it will not show up under any filter, and it cannot be brought back.
