Gender pay gap insights
Shows the difference in pay between men and women, plus how it changes over time and across roles. Helps you understand gaps, communicate progress, and target actions.
Getting Started
Go to the Admin section from the left hand menu.
Click on Insights
Click the Gender pay gap tab
You must be an Account owner to access insights.
Pay gap %
Shows the percentage difference in salary between men and women on the last day of the selected period. Gives a clear headline measure aligned with common reporting standards.
How it’s calculated: ((Male salary − Female salary) ÷ Male salary) × 100, using the selected central measure (Median or Average) for salaried roles with valid data.
Pay gap $
Shows the dollar difference in salary between men and women on the last day of the selected period. Helps translate the percentage into a tangible amount.
How it’s calculated: Male salary − Female salary, using the same central measure (Median or Average) for salaried roles with valid data.
Median/Average female salary
Shows the female salary level on the last day of the selected period, with a count of women included. Helps track female pay separately.
How it’s calculated: Median or Average of female salaries for active salaried roles on the last day.
Median/Average male salary
Shows the male salary level on the last day of the selected period, with a count of men included. Helps track male pay separately.
How it’s calculated: Median or Average of male salaries for active salaried roles on the last day.
Median/Average salary by gender over time
Shows how male and female salaries change across the selected period. Helps connect movements to review cycles or adjustments.
How it’s calculated: For each sampled point, the Median/Average salary for men and for women among active salaried roles.
Gender composition by pay quartile
Shows the percentage of men and women in each pay quartile (lower, lower‑middle, upper‑middle, upper). Helps assess representation across pay levels.
How it’s calculated: People with valid annual salaries are sorted into quartiles; the share of men and women in each quartile is displayed. Requires at least 4 people with salary data.
Pay gap by position title
Shows, for each position title, male and female salary, plus the gap in dollars and percent. Helps pinpoint roles driving the overall gap.
How it’s calculated: For each title with at least 2 males and 2 females, calculates Median/Average salary by gender, then Pay gap $ = Male − Female and Pay gap % = ((Male − Female) ÷ Male) × 100.
