Org structure insights
Shows how your organisation is structured: team sizes, management coverage, and where people are located. Helps you understand spans of control, identify outliers, and plan resourcing.
Getting Started
Go to the Admin section from the left hand menu.
Click on Insights
Click the Org structure tab
You must be an Account owner to access insights.
Average span of control
Shows the average number of direct reports per manager. Helps assess whether managers have sustainable team sizes.
How it’s calculated: For managers with at least one direct report, total direct reports ÷ number of managers, on the last day of the selected period.
Largest team
Shows the highest number of direct reports managed by any one manager. Helps spot unusually large teams that may need support.
How it’s calculated: Maximum direct‑report count among managers with at least one direct report, on the last day of the selected period.
Smallest team
Shows the lowest number of direct reports among managers (excluding managers with none). Helps identify very small teams that may be consolidated.
How it’s calculated: Minimum direct‑report count among managers with at least one direct report, on the last day of the selected period.
Employee to manager ratio
Shows the ratio of total employees to managers. Helps you gauge management coverage across the organisation.
How it’s calculated: Total employees ÷ number of managers, rounded to a X:1 ratio, on the last day of the selected period.
Location breakdown
Shows how your workforce is distributed by location, with counts and percentages. Helps compare site size and plan local resourcing.
How it’s calculated: For people active on the last day, count per location and percentage = location count ÷ total active.
Span of control
Shows a distribution of managers by number of direct reports, with the organisation average for context. Helps spot overloaded or under‑utilised managers.
How it’s calculated: For managers with at least one direct report, group by direct‑report count and show the number of managers in each group, as at the last day of the selected perio
