Leave requests

Worknice makes it simple to request and track leave directly through the self-service portal.


Before you get started

If you do not have a leave section, it is not activated in your organisations Worknice account. Contact your HR team for more info.


Submitting a leave request

  1. Go to the Leave section from the left-hand menu.

  2. Click Request leave.

  3. Fill in the request details:

    • Start and finish dates

    • Approver – typically your direct manager (check your company’s policy)

    • Notes – add any extra information if needed

    • Attachments – upload supporting documents (e.g., a medical certificate)

  4. Click Submit Request.

Not all people can request leave in Worknice. If you don’t see this option, contact your Worknice admin team.


Tracking your leave requests

From the Leave section, you can:

  • View the status of new or upcoming requests

  • Check the history of previously submitted requests


Important Notes

If your request has already been submitted, you may need to contact your manager or HR team to adjust or cancel it.


You're All Done!

You can now request, track, edit, and cancel leave directly in Worknice.
