WGEA Reporting App
Prepare your workplace profile report using Worknice data for WGEA submissions.
Introduction
The Worknice WGEA App helps organisations prepare their Workplace Profile (Unit-Level) report in the format required by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).
While submissions must still be completed through the WGEA reporting portal, this app prepares your Worknice data so it can be easily reviewed and copied into the official WGEA submission template.
Before You Get Started
The Worknice WGEA App is not activated by default. You will need to install it from the App Directory.
If you want to monitor your gender pay gap between reporting periods, Worknice provides ongoing analysis through the Insights section.
Installing the WGEA App
Connecting a new app in Worknice only takes a few minutes.
From the left-hand menu, go to Apps.
Select App Directory.
Browse the marketplace of Direct integrations and apps.
Select the WGEA App and click View Details.
Click Create Integration.
Click Connect and follow the prompts to activate the app.
You must have Account Owner permissions in Worknice to install new apps.
Using the WGEA App
Step 1: Set Your ABN
Open the WGEA app by clicking Open App.
Navigate to the Setup tab.
Enter your organisation’s ABN.
Step 2: Review & Add Missing Data
The WGEA App automatically pulls employee data from Worknice wherever possible.
If additional information is required:
Open the WGEA App and select Workplace Profile.
Review the employee list for the reporting period.
Click Edit against each employee to add or update missing information.
How Data Is Generated
The WGEA App automatically prepares your data using information stored in Worknice.
For example:
Base salary is automatically annualised according to WGEA reporting rules.
Job and pay information reflects the employee’s most recent job during the reporting period.
Employees who were terminated during the reporting period are still included in the report.
Important Notes
Pay data stored in Worknice is assumed to follow WGEA’s base salary definition.
Total remuneration must be calculated manually according to WGEA guidelines.
WGEA requires each employee to be mapped to a specific job category, which should be confirmed using the definitions on the WGEA website.
You are responsible for reviewing all data prior to submission to ensure it meets WGEA reporting requirements.
The report reflects Worknice data as of the current date, so ensure it is reviewed before submitting.
You’re All Done!
You can now generate your workplace profile report and prepare it for submission through the WGEA portal.
