What is the Worknice WGEA app, and how do you use it

The Worknice WGEA app is not activated by default. Add this app from the App directory.

What is the Worknice WGEA app?

This report generates a workplace profile (unit-level) in the format required by WGEA. While you'll still need to submit through the WGEA portal, this tool prepares your Worknice data for easy copy-pasting into the official submission template.

How to Install the WGEA App to the core Worknice platform

Connecting a new app in Worknice is a simple task that will only take a couple of minutes.

  1. On the left hand admin menu, select Apps and then App directory.
  1. Browse our marketplace of Direct integrations and apps.
  1. Select an app by clicking View Details and then Create Integration.
  1. Click the Connect button
  1. You are now being directed to the app being integrated. Follow the prompts.

You must have appropriate level of permissions in the integrated app in order to Authenticate the integration

Using the WGEA App

Set your ABN

1 - In the WGEA App, select the Open app button

2 - Set your company ABN on the Setup tab in the WGEA app

Input missing information

The Worknice WGEA app will automatically pull data in from the core app where it is available for each employee, or for each employee in the selected reporting period.

For everything else, you can easily add;

1 - In the WGEA App, select the Open app button

2 - Click on the Workplace Profile tab

3 - Click Edit against each employee row

Key Points to Note

  • The base salary is automatically annualised as per WGEA's requirements based on employees pay data in Worknice
  • Pay data entered in Worknice is assumed to follow WGEA's base salary definition
  • You will need to manually calculate the total remuneration for each employee based on the WGEA definition
  • Terminated employees are included if they were employed at any point during the reporting period
  • Job and pay data is based on the most recent job held for the reporting period
  • WGEA requires you to provide specific job categories for each employee, please ensure you check the definitions from the WGEA website
  • It is your responsibility to review all data prior to submission and ensure it aligns with WGEA reporting guidelines. This report reflects Worknice data as of today's date.
