MYOB Account Right Integration

How our MYOB AR integration syncs data between the two platforms

Connecting to MYOB for the first time

Integrating Worknice with your MYOB platform makes your Worknice set up an absolute breeze. Connect MYOB, choose the employees you want to import, and all your employees along with their personal and payroll data is ready and waiting in Worknice.

Data Flow

The table below outlines the major flows of data between the two systems.

WorkniceDirectionMYOB
Personal Details🔁Personal Details
Bank Accounts🔁Bank Account
TFN Declaration💤TFN Declaration
Superannuation💤Superannuation
Leave Requests🔁*Leave Requests
Leave Balances🔁Leave Balances
Employee ID🔁Card ID

💤 - MYOB doesn’t accept USI’s with it’s API, while also having a highly obscure ‘tax table’ that is near impossible to map. We are working on a workaround.

* - MYOB doesn’t have leave requests. Use Worknice for leave requests, and then deduct hours in MYOB with the integration.

MYOB Leave Work Patters

Work Patterns define the expected working days and hours for an employee. Setting them up ensures accurate leave calculations and streamlined payroll syncing with MYOB.

What is a Work Pattern?

A Work Pattern represents an employee’s typical working schedule — for example, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. These patterns help calculate leave in hours or days and ensure leave entitlements are managed correctly.

How to Create a Work Pattern

  1. Go to your Apps and Integrations on the left hand menu
  1. Select your MYOB integration, and Open App.
  1. Configure Work patterns for each employee.

Exporting Leave Requests to MYOB AccountRight Payroll

You can export approved leave requests from Worknice directly to MYOB Payroll — saving time and reducing manual entry.

How it Works

Once an employee’s leave request is approved in Worknice, it’s ready to be exported into MYOB Payroll. This ensures leave taken is recorded accurately in both systems.

How does it transfer?

We send leave request hours directly to Myob AR via api - so there are no more spreadsheets!

Where to find approved leave requests

We don’t send leave requests immediately, you have full control of the timing.

To find approved leave requests to export;

  1. Go to your Apps and Integrations on the left hand menu
  1. Select your MYOB integration, and Open App.
  1. Select Approved leave tab

Where to find exported leave requests

We show you a list of all exported leave requests so you can keep track of past transfers.

To find approved leave requests to export;

  1. Go to your Apps and Integrations on the left hand menu
  1. Select your MYOB integration, and select Leave requests

Adding Base Hourly deductions to the export

By default, we remove the equivalent base hourly amount so the employee doesn’t get ‘paid twice’. If you are using base salary and want this removed, you can configure this;

  1. Go to your Apps and Integrations on the left hand menu
  1. Select your MYOB integration, and Open App.
  1. Configure Base Hourly to OFF

Setting up the MYOB Integration

Before you export:

  1. Go to Integrations > App Directoy on the left hand menu
  1. Select MYOB Payroll
  1. Follow the prompts to connect your account and sync employee data
  1. Ensure leave types and employees are mapped correctly

You're all done!
