Connecting to MicrOpay for the first time

Integrating Worknice with your MicrOpay platform makes your Worknice set up an absolute breeze. Connect MicrOpay, choose the employees you want to import, and all your employees along with their personal and payroll data is ready and waiting in Worknice.

Data Flow

The table below outlines the major flows of data between the two systems.

When a new job (new hire) is created in Worknice, a new employee is added in MicrOpay in the “New Employee” wizard, allowing payroll to validate fields before adding the new starter into payroll.

Employee ID is required to establish integration

💤 - this information is difficult to convert into a format which the payroll can accept

*MicrOpay API only allows for MicrOpay > Worknice sync direction

^MicrOpay enforces fixed bank account amounts (not percentages)

!MicrOpay doesn’t log ‘last updated’ against fields. This means Worknice will pass new employee information to MicrOpay, but from this point on it will look at MicrOpay as the source of truth for data discrepancies and update Worknice accordingly.

FAQ

API Access: MicrOpay’s API is not accessible by default and must be purchased. This will be required to facilitate any level of integration with the Worknice system.

Data Maintenance for existing: For ongoing syncing, you can choose if you want data to sync from Worknice to MicrOpay, or MicrOpay to Worknice. MicrOpay doesn’t log ‘last updated’ against fields, so it is not possible for ongion 2 way sync.
