Your Home page
Home is the page you land on when you sign in to Worknice, and it shows what is still outstanding for you right now.
Before you get started
Everyone lands on Home, but nobody sees all of it. What appears depends on your role. Account owners get the sections about the organisation. Managers and employees get the sections about themselves and their team.
Home has not replaced your Inbox. The Inbox is still in the sidebar, just below Home, and it still holds your notifications.
Home and Inbox do different jobs
The Inbox is a feed of what has already happened. Home answers a different question: what is outstanding now, and where do you go to deal with it.
Most counts on Home are links. Selecting one opens the screen that owns those records with the matching filter already applied, so you land on the list you were just looking at a number for.
If you are an account owner
Account owners see two sections about the organisation. You will not see the personal sections further down this article, because the Inbox stays your personal surface.
Needs your attention
This lists up to six counts of outstanding work, each one a link:
people who are non-compliant
people at risk
paperwork expiring soon
paperwork expired
paperwork pending approval
paperwork awaiting processing
A row with a count of zero is left off the list, so the section only ever shows real work. When nothing is outstanding you get an empty state instead.
Work a row down to zero and it disappears from Home. That makes the section usable as a short list to clear rather than a dashboard to read.
This week
This lists leave, birthdays, work anniversaries and new hires falling in the current week, counted Monday through Sunday in your organisation's timezone.
Leave that overlaps the week is counted, even if it started earlier or has already ended.
Where a row covers exactly one person, it names them instead of showing a count.
Leave rows open the Leave list on its This week filter. Birthday, anniversary and start-date rows open the Calendar.
If you are a manager or an employee
Your to-dos
Your assigned paperwork, reviews and tasks, merged into a single list and sorted by due date. The first five sit on the page and the rest open in a View more window.
If you are a manager, this also includes the reviews assigned to you as a manager.
Your leave
Your leave balances and your next booked leave, with a link to request leave where your account allows it.
This section is hidden if your organisation does not use leave management, or if you have no balances and nothing booked.
Your team this week
Named rows for leave, birthdays, work anniversaries and start dates across your team, over the same Monday to Sunday window.
Managers see their direct reports. Employees see their peers plus their manager.
You are never in your own list.
Up to five rows appear, with a link to the Calendar when there are more.
The section is hidden if you have no team.
If you are a manager
Your team's to-dos
Three counts of work sitting with you:
leave requests waiting on you
reviews you need to complete
direct reports who are non-compliant
Each row links to the screen that owns those records with the same filter already applied, and the count matches the number of rows that screen will show you.
A row only appears where your account owner has granted you that area. If you have not been granted Compliance, for instance, there is no compliance row. See What you can see about your team.
Common questions
Where has my Inbox gone?
Nowhere. It is still in the sidebar, directly below Home. Home is now the page you land on after signing in, and the Inbox is one click away.
I am an account owner and I manage people. Why can I not see my own to-dos?
Account owners see the organisation sections only. This is deliberate: the Inbox remains the personal surface for every role, account owners included.
Why does the paperwork pending approval count not match the list I land on?
Paperwork has no "pending approval" filter, so that row opens the Draft filter, which is a wider list. The number on Home and the number of rows on the destination screen will not always agree. Every other row on Home is an exact match.
A leave request from someone in my team is not showing on Home. Why?
You only see leave requests from people you share a payroll connection with. Home matches what your Leave list already shows rather than the full set, so this is existing Leave list behaviour rather than something Home changed. Ask your account owner to check your payroll connections.
Why does my empty state mention different things to a colleague's?
Empty-state wording only names the things that can actually appear for you. If your organisation does not use performance management, for example, your empty state does not mention reviews.
