Archiving positions
Remove unused positions from your active org chart while keeping historical job records intact.
Before You Get Started
You must be an Account Owner to archive positions.
Archiving a position will not delete historical job history — it simply removes the position from the org chart and reporting.
Why Archive Positions?
Archiving is useful when a position is no longer required in your organisation. For example:
A role has been permanently closed.
The position has been merged into another.
You want to keep your active org chart clean without losing historical data.
How to Archive a Position
Navigate to the Positions directory in the left-hand menu.
Find the position you want to archive.
Click the actions button (three vertical dots) to open available actions.
Select Archive from the action menu.
Confirm your choice.
Restoring an Archived Position
You can not restore an archived position
What Happens When You Archive a Position?
The position is hidden from your active org chart.
Historical job records remain linked to the people who held the position.
You’re All Done!
Archiving positions keeps your active org chart focused on the roles that matter today, without losing track of history.
