Email notifications

Worknice allows you to configure which notifications you receive, and to which login email they are sent. The options available depend on your access level in the platform.


Accessing Notification Settings

You can change your notification preferences in two ways:

  • Click your avatar (circle icon) in the top-right corner of the menu.

  • Go directly to Notification Settings.

From here, you can:

  • Select which email notifications you want to receive.

  • Choose the email address they should be sent to (if you have more than one).

If you turn off notification emails, you will still receive in app notifications


Notification Types

Assignment Notifications

  • An assignment is assigned to me

  • An assignment has been reassigned to me

  • An assignment I’m responsible for is approved

  • An assignment I’m responsible for is submitted

  • An assignment I’m responsible for is going to expire soon

  • An assignment I’m responsible for has expired

  • Someone requests my approval of an assignment

Leave Notifications

  • A leave request I have made has been approved

  • A leave request I have made has been denied

  • A leave request I have made has been cancelled

  • Someone requests my approval of a leave request

Review Notifications

  • A review is assigned to me for scheduling

  • A review has been scheduled for me

  • A review I’m responsible for is submitted


Typical Setup

Here’s how notifications are typically configured across roles:

  • Employees

    • Get notified about their own assignments, leave approvals/denials, and reviews.

  • Managers

    • Receive notifications when they need to approve leave or paperwork, and when assignments or reviews they’re responsible for are submitted.

  • Account Owners/Admins

    • Often enable a broader set of notifications for compliance purposes, including assignment expiries and approvals.
