Question types
Review questions in Worknice can be configured using different types, allowing you to capture the right kind of feedback for your reviews.
Before you get started
You must have the Reviews add-on enabled to use this feature.
Account owners can manage templates
Getting started
Go to Settings, then select Saved questions.
Create a new question or edit an existing one.
Choose the question type that best fits your needs.
Review question types
Text
A free text response where users type their own answer.
Configuration Options:
Description – Optional guidance text to provide context, link to resources, or improve response consistency.
Best for open-ended questions like: “What achievements are you most proud of this year?”
Multiple Choice
Users select one option from a list of pre-configured answers.
Configuration Options:
Description – Optional guidance text.
Options – Create your own set of answers.
Other option – Allow users to respond with “Other” if none of the listed answers apply.
Best for structured feedback like: “Which company value do you feel most connected to?”
5-Point Likert Scale
A scale from 1–5, typically ranging from strongly disagree to strongly agree (or similar). Often used to measure attitudes or satisfaction.
Configuration Options:
Description – Optional guidance text.
Labels – Customise the labels that appear at each point on the scale.
Whether a Likert question also asks for a comment is set on the review template, not here. See Templates.
Best for rating-style questions like: “How confident do you feel in your role?”
