Configuring dynamic field types
Dynamic document templates allow paperwork to be customised for specific use cases. By configuring fields, you can collect the right data, ensure accuracy, and personalise documents for employees.
This article outlines all available field types, their features, and configurations.
Getting Started
Go to your Template directory.
Open a dynamic document template.
Click the cog icon next to a field to configure it.
Only Account Owners can create or configure dynamic document templates.
You must have a correctly prepared PDF template uploaded to Worknice before configuring fields.
Key Notes
The Assigner – the Worknice Account Owner creating the document.
The Submitter – the employee filling in the document.
Formatting – font, size, alignment, and colours are set in your PDF editor, not Worknice.
Each field type has its own configurations (e.g., required/optional, prefix/suffix, description).
